Mercury 175 (offshore) carb - Is it possible to conveet to fuel injection
Hi Guys,
Thank you for accepting my post here,
I own a Mercury 175 (carb)-(1997) Offshore model,
Is it possible to change to fuel injection?
If so,will it improve my fuel consumption,
Does anyone know what is the consumtion of these outboards,
Mine seems to drink more then a Irishman,
I have has some fuel and electric related problems this year
Typical error was bogging down ,from idle into accelaration,
On WOT ,tapping back to Idle and re accelarate ,she boggs down as if she has No power
Burns plugs,
Hates trolling,
any help will be so appreated

Conversion is possible but not easy and you will need a lot of parts. Will not increase mileage by much, if any. Usually not recommended mended unless you have a fully dressed donor motor/powerhead.
