Sure, but the actual #s? Think they're on another thread. Are the 77 140 # the highest etc TR and EX?

Well I ain't got exact specs FMP, but the ports on a 115/140 block are about the size of a quarter. Dime sized on a 85 - 90.

Once i opened up the exhaust cover i found the bolt holes for the exhaust stuffers Attachment 392532Attachment 392533Attachment 392534
This is a flat back so why have the bolt holes ????
It seems this was an one for all block but it does not have the bottom rib machined out
Whats the chances of her having 140 ports ????

Put the crank , flywheel and one rod piston back in it and degree it, transfers and exhaust. Measure the port hole sizes. While you're at it measure piston height at tdc to deck, see how far down it is from the deck. Someone may give distance from deck or crank measurements to compare. Decking it will not change your duration.
    Then you know.

Still assembled good. Dwell tdc to your timing marker and flywheel. Index the flywheel marking degrees around. If you take your time and care you'll get all the right numbers. If you have a degree wheel fix it to the top of the flywheel, 0* TDC. You're checking when the piston crown breaks light at the port roof in degrees from TDC. Get your numbers

Thanks FMP i will try and get that done tonight or tomz. I think the ports look pretty small so i guess it was just the bolt holes they left in.
But it wont be a problem to try it and see for sure.
Better still if i could see a 140 port and tell right away

A bit of machining to do .... bigger ports maybe a couple degrees up. Chest and deck , high c heads. Not one 140 over your way to persuade into a sell. Good thing is you can move the ports where you want if needed.

I just posted the #s your looking for on olboatmans thread oops but there they are.Take the bottom rib out,you have the small ports. All the v-4 blocks have the bosses for the stuffers when they sleeve them than they cut the ports for the hp rating. If you want to save some money don't put the stuffers in and you wont have to machine them either works better or its up to you if you do or not.
