is there no one out there that can tell me what this motor is or have a picture to show me the differences in a Bridgeport and a mod vp

there is no difference in mod-vp and bridge port.. a finger ported bridge port block was tha original mod-vp motor....

yes thanks for the picture so that's what a Bridgeport looks like and the mod vp doesn't have the bridge

NO, NO, NO...... a BRIDGE PORT IS A MOD-VP MOTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is whats called a high performance "oval port" that is "bridge free" (no bridge) that looks identical to tha a bridge port on tha outside and some will advertise and/or actually think its a bridge port and/or mod-vp jus because its a "naked (no paint) block"...
so unless ya have any doubts in tha guy ya got from for whatever reason its most likely what he says.. like said before.. seen lots more carbureted bridge ports than oval ports in tha market place..................jmo

where tha difference came about is he told you it was a 200.. they didn't build a 200 bridge port.. tha 200 was tha oval port I brought up.. that's why I was tryin' to get ya ta be sure which one it actually was.... tha mod-vp part doesn't really mean $hit.. justa badge!

either one will get tha job done... very little difference with both being carbs.. tha oval port pulls a smidgen more at tha get go but tha bp pulls better at wot.. good, solid motors... gl with it.
