Barn find

A friend asked if i wanted an old race boat with a mercury that was in a barn for 20 years.
It was only 30 miles away so i said hell yes.
When we got there he forgot to say out behind the barn!!!!!
Anyway it looks like a Magnum Missile
It has a 1400 long shaft in pieces
It is 16 ft 6 inches and has the insets for the wood inserts any way to tell if its Missile or a copy.
The paper work says custom built im guessing that means a lost title at some time
Its been repainted was a copper metal flake
Anyway dont need it but couldnt leave it out in the weather.

The deck inserts certainly do make it appear to be an original Magunm

Yes lots of work and i have enough projects.
I do have a 175 Black Max ive been looking to put on somthing.
But i just wanted to save it and will be letting go to someone with more time on there hands.

speaking of the time that it takes, hundreds of hours and just now getting the bottom painted.

Damn Ken That is looking great.
You always got a new one on the burner
Keep the pics coming your going to make me want to start sanding on mine.
Here is what i would want mine to look like only with a short motor.
