Gulf coast 200cc tunnel boat prop??? Going from 150 to 225
I just got a 20' gulf coast boat, it's the modified cathedral hull with a tunnel and low sides. The boat had a 150 evindrude ocean pro on it that was bad. I had a good ocean pro 225 laying around so I'm putting it on the boat. The 150 had a 17p three blade prop. Does anyone have any idea on what prop I should run on this boat and what pitch to start with? Any ideas what my speed will be with a good prop for shallow water performance? I was thinking maybe the new bravo 1 xc 20p or a bravo 1 fs? Any suggestions or ideas? I will be running a cavitation foil and it has a hydraulic jack plate.
