Ok, I'm following you now. The only thing I'm still ignorant on. What does "production" cowl refer to exactly? Are you meaning "OEM" vs the aftermarket ones available? Or does "production" cowl refer to "non-race" ? Or maybe a certain year range? Sorry, I'm not up on the lingo..

With the "high performance" version, the lower is once piece and mounts between the midsection and the power head, and with the "production" style, the lower is two pieces which mounts to brackets. Is that correct?

The "Clamshell" cowl (4 pieces) weighs 26.5 pounds. The "bucket" cowl (3 pieces + two brackets) weighs 47 pounds. The plastic Bridgeport cowl (cowl, pan & bungies) weighs 14.5 pounds.

I have a 95' Black Max 150 bucket (but part of the air duct was cut to make room for the aftermarket EOI) and I have a set of brackets you could buy.

I might be interested in the brackets. I think the newer production style leave more room for insulation though.
