Thanks for the info. I'll see what I can find on here.
I enjoy reading about all of the turbine projects. There is always good information in every one of the projects on what works and what went down in flames. Literally!

It's time for some real progress to start taking place on this project. The boat is back in my shop with all the reconstruction of the cockpit finished and painted.
I weighed the hull and was very surprised that it weighs only 2000 Lbs on the nose as shown in the photo below. This should have the dry weight of the completed project coming in at just below 4000 Lbs.
That comes out to a pretty good weight to HP ratio. 0 to 100 mph in a 25' boat in 10 seconds or less may very well be achieved.

    That's way too slow Joe.
I am thinking along the lines of a solid state gyro detecting boat attitude tied into the RacePak fuel level moitor controlling a weight setting on a linear track 120-hz motor with a 15 millisecond reaction time.

The slide box only needs to travel 48 inches so I think it would be good for river/lake running. The F1 boats are using a gyro and its not going to be far off before throttle input is affected by them as well. Its going to provide a liquid version of the now "almost required" traction control....and show us just how slow we humans react. Next thing is when we will go watch to uncrewed boats go around the course.

Your right Joe. That's the only way the drones are able to fly. We can't even come close to the reaction speed to control them things and I am actually working on a gyro stabilization system for the future project on the turbine warlock.

That drive sure does look long without a bussel and rudder like the big boats. I guess the APU will be the warning sign for swimmers to clear the prop!!!- This thing is total Hise style "over the top"

That thing isn't as much a fast boat as it is the worlds fastest piece of fine jewelry. Awesome!

    Thanks for the compliment
All of my projects have been more about the mechanical beauty and a work of art more-so than speed and there not too shabby in that aspect. I tend to favor the rush from acceleration than top speed.

Just out of curiosity, are you planning on adding a drive guard to the trailer? And speaking of the trailer ...

    Yes.
When the project is finished I'll have a custom polished aluminum trailer built similar to the one I had done on the Drag "N" Fever project.
The trailer its on now is the original trailer and there was no since in putting it on a new trailer with all the paint and glass work that had to be done.

Love this phrase: "Speed Kills, Acceleration Thrills"

Have to imagine that with that drive and a turbine, slow speed maneuverability will be interesting?
