pretty sure it would be in open,or fastest class.it was outlawed in 2016 because it had to much mods/power..go figure..a Nordic 22' inboard with 1350HP is ok tho...the powers to be want to keep it safe and keep speeds down.lots of politics and rule changes every year

that race is more of a family fun day run,with 2 liter class that only run 80mph getting a HUGE handicap..just my $.02

How in the hell would they know how much power that motor has? What about the red Stoker with a 2.5 Drag? Sounds like they have drug that race down.

It would run in the same class as the red Stoker. Last year they basically outlawed all unlimited outboards when race promoter changed, we were lucky we could lower the engine and run as did in previous years, this year they run in the same class under the same basic rules. Main rules being prop shaft 1 inch below the bottom, no XR lower units, appears weights based on engine displacement, 2.5 restricted to 32CC heads other engines no CC restriction listed. Green engines run in same class as delivered from manufacturer except for ECU mapping/rev limiter change, they run at same weight as a 2.5 but 1/2 inch below. The 2.5 and green rules have been the same for several years with this year adding for other engines. Seems to me that it would be very difficult to try and fit everyone in, not a job I would want.

Scott (war canoe)owner still has it and posts over on riverdavesplace.i am sure it still can be bought at right price,just far from being a "fire sale"
