CT River Run Cancelled

Theres going to be a boat meet on the ct river on the 28th of oct. Its not the ctrr just a few locals getting together. The beach should be able to fit like 40boats. Ill be there with a bunch of longislanders.

Guys,

This is ridiculous to cancel the event because we can't get pizza to an island. I'll have my friend helicopter pizza in if I have to. Let's do DART ISLAND and the pizza truck meet us at Saint Clemens marina (ACROSS FROM DART) and we can bring the pizza over by center console. Someone who has a say in this event please call me 860-402-8138. So many people look forward to this as their last ride of the season and It helps out a great cause. I vote for the 3rd week as well.

I just got confirmation from Saint Clemens. If you guys want to make this happen then lets do it. I also can speak to the owner at the Canoe Club (Old harbor Park) for special deals for us that day.

There's very few boats on the river at this point. The later you wait, the worse the weather will be. I would suggest Saturday 10/21.

I'm in for 10/21 or 22. Hopefully this happens. The sooner you lock in an exact date the better.

Doing this event on Sundays has always been tough for a large percentage of us. It makes it tough to get back, cleaned up, put away, and even enjoy yourself when you know the next day is a work day (for most folks).

I would suggest locking this in for Saturday 10/21.

21st it is. Speaking to a couple people it seems that the easiest thing to do is pack your own lunch for the day. If anyone is interested, I contacted a few local pizza places and they all agreed to help out and St. Clemens was nice enough to offer the use of their enclosed house boat to deliver the pizza. You guys tell me and I'll do anything to help.

So we in for Sat the 21st? Geeez is this really about pizza???? Ha! I can fit a sandwich and a donation somewhere on board.
Which would be the most entertaing for you guys to see? None are wicked fast by today's standards ....though worth inhaling the dust to make them right 😷
