What to put between wind screen and deck? (Hydrostream)
What's everyone using to go between the bottom of the wind screen and the deck? Appears to have been some type of foam rubber. Wondering if there have been any advances in technology in this area since the 80's that is worth pursuing?

I ran nothing on my viper for two years. No bottom rail either. Just used stainless screws with nylock nuts on the bottom side and left some wiggle room. I would probably just use some adhesive foam window insulation if I had a nice boat...

I used some rubber grommets (donuts) as mounting isolators between the deck and the plexiglass. The w/s is raised off the surface 1/16'' or so. On the screws, I used some short rubber tubing pcs to isolate the thru bolts threads from coming into contact with the plexi. The windshield has no alum on it at the bottom. I used # 10 phillips Pan head ss machine screws ss washers with rubber washers to isolate the w/s from the fasteners on the top of the plexi. Fender washers/rubber washers and loc nuts with sealant/caulk under the deck. Looks clean and simple. Very slick. I went to this isolation mounting method to eliminate rattles and squeeks that the original had. Also easy to keep clean.
