Took my concerns about durability, 'cuz of how low it sits on the GS....no problem, I wasn't that worried about weight so he added some extra glass to the mold....the gelcoat is perfect!!! $275 is a steal, especially when you consider what Mercury charges."have you met my little fly named scream?"

The 200xs pan moves the cowling back to account for the optimax compressor and coils, which means the cowl needs a different skirt. Some of the Allison guys with regular alien cowls swap to the xs base plate because when trimmed up it doesn't smash the rear cowling on the boat (or it takes a lot more trim to do so).
Until CDR started making this all those guys had to go without a skirt (ugly), pay the ridiculous price for an OEM one, or somehow find a merc xs skirt used.> Stainless steel Merc cowling plates - $110 shipped TYD - LINK <
