The early T2X had the single tube as did the T2 . I think the two tube carbs had better response across the entire RPM range . I have a Tll with the single tube carbs ,did you find a crank for the 2nd T2X ? Are you restoring both ?Any of the early non power port pistons should work, 115,135and early 140 pistons . The crank will be the hard to find item as it wasn't used in any regular configuration .

No luck on getting a second crank, I used your part numbers from the t2x sheets and called seaway, they haven't had it in years. As far as the Pistons I need.015 oversize. Nothing is available off the shelf. Even tried ordering pistons for a 1350 from Mercury and they have the Piston port and scallop. It appears the only alternative is go the custom order route with wiseco just so they leave the machining of the scallop and piston port off. I also have to order a minimum of 12, and smallest oversize is .020

All my TC carbs have 2 holes going up the middle. Unrelated, but here's a closeup video of one of mine...

I think we need to get this straight. The carb body that is threaded to accept the bowl retaining bolt ,we aren't counting that as one? Just checked my late TC105C 126 style, two tubes. Also the late carbs don't have chokes.

These carbs are from the early to almost mid 70's, that's all I can tell you. I have 2 sets, and only external difference is the 1 vs 2 tubes.

I have a few of them from those years. Either way you'll need six. Maybe the newer rebuild kits don't use the same floats , can't remember. The other is whether the seats and needles work as well as OEM. Trying to remember but some seats are removable, maybe not those. When they hang up they just squirt fuel out the vent , side of carb. I had the carbs do that for no good reason. Check everything, maybe some micro type crud hung them up but never did it twice.

I found the older style Tillotsen carbs to be sensitive to float level adjustment and fuel pressure. Is this true of this style also? Did Mercury switch to this style of carburetor on all of the motors?

I had to go look . Some of you that know me have seen a tip of the iceberg and understand my comment . The engines that are easy to get too ,both T-II and T-IIx have tc 3 carbs . Interesting the T-II 's [ single tube ] are tc 3 ,the T-IIx 's have two emulsion tubes they are tc 3's as well . There are different versions of the tc 3 , some are followed by an " a " and some by a "4" . On the T II all the carbs have an "a" following the model # . On the T IIx's there is a combination of "a's " and "4's" . The thought that someone miss matched these from different engines might yield credit but I asure you most if not all the junk I have is untouched from when I worked on them in the 70"s . Was it possible , sure but highly unlikely .

The fix I have had to seats not seating, and fuel coming out is just a good wack to the side of the carb with a hammer or wrench. SOme folks at the sandbar asked if that was a typical way to keep a FORCE motor running hahaha.

As the 70s went on year after year so did the TC range. I run TC4A, twin tube. The later 70 and 80s had TC5 , twin .
