    Chopper

I'm looking at this chopper and am wondering if anyone can tell me if it's a big ear. The part number is 48-89860-28, the guy says he doesn't know anything about it. Is it just me or does it look cut?

No weed fingers and the blades don't go all the way to the hub.

It's an early big ear and it has been cut.

Any guess about how it would pull the bow? It looks similar to the triton, I ran one this weekend and it wouldn't/couldn't lift the bow.

Hard to say. It's the usual lousy prop photo which makes it hard to pick out detail. From what I can see it looks like it may be an offshore cut without a lot of tip cup added. Something like that really has to be tried because each one runs a little different and it's hard to predict it's behavior.

The Hoss Triton normally is low lift prop without much cup in the tips so the result you got would pretty much be expected.
