So I picked up a couple of t2x powerheads

I'm going to build a t2x engine for the viper, 1 engine was complete, other engine is missing it's rotating assembly. Just tore down the first engine, has 1 bad rod journal. I'm thinking about assembling the other engine eventually with a standard 115 crank, as I'm sure trying to find a t2 crank would be a lost cause.Click image for larger version.

Guys, which piston is correct for this engine? One piston has a notch on the crown that lines up with the intake/transfer port. I don't see any function to the Piston port though. This engine was definitely assembled from parts, or whatever was laying around.Click image for larger version.

Rich Luhr's knows these engines inside & out. He'll be a big help with your questions. Especially T2x pistons & porting.
