sharpeye mike is right, that prop hub is very small and the prop is a thru-hub .
you need to make a ring up to go on the gearcase that fills the gap between prop and gearcase, far too much clearance for that type of prop.
or make a special thrush washer to take up the space ???
only problem is you will be restricting the exhaust a bit, but that can be over come by drilling a couple of holes above the skeg as per sst60 etc.

what was this prop from originaly ? dont look like it was meant for omc as it should be going back a lot more too.

yeah it probably was off a johnson 70hp, but a 70hp shortshaft with a small gearcase.
you have the large gearcase known as the clubfoot. mine is the large gearcase too, so are all the longshaft motors and a few shorty's..
need to make a ring to make up the space in the gearcase and just use a couple of screw to keep it on.
you will be getting far too much exhaust over the blades, that prop is meant to be just thru exhaust.
my self I would advertise the prop and buy the right one, you will never get the results you want.
plenty of people out there will want your prop. just advertise it with the size of the hub and let people know its 13 splines .
you need the large hub 13 spline that fits the 60 to 140 hp v4 motors .

a whale tail is ok, but will not help much due to the prop is just getting far too much aeration ( no bite) if it was over hub type prop it would be fine as they
have a totally different design to the blades.
the top speed will be way down as your only going to be slipping all the time with that prop.

sorry, but thats the way it is. you wont have a problem selling the prop, it is a wanted item.

when you get a prop that fits the motor correctly you will realise this prop is not giving you the performance a prop of same type/pitch would.
your losing tons of power with that prop and cavitating like mad.
same prop with same size pitch but right size hub will give you about 6 to 8 mph more top end maybe more and the pull away would be 1/2 the time.

and not using a thrust washer is asking for a huge problem, that can end up costing you a lot of money to fix WHEN it goes wrong.

keep en eye out for some cheap props
