New boat, no screaming, no flying

We picked up our new J Craft on Saturday and got it wet Sunday. We took the 115 HO from my ex John Tiger 16' Baja and transferred it to the new boat. Now boat and motor are jointly owned by my two brothers and I

It has better pull out for slalom skiiers than the Baja but is of course slower. Same prop.

    We are very pleased.

If I had that boat I'd be screaming with happiness.

    Please show more pics!

Built by John Spaeth of course. Two ICON multi function gages set in angled bezels canted to the driver. One low end stereo to keep my brother's kids happy. One ski pole with a navigation light on top. The best materials we could get.

I tried a couple of different props and broke 50

    52 with a 24 Raker. 5200 rpm, probably a bit low.

50 with a DAH modified 21 Renegade. This took so much trim the steering felt heavy.

its not for going fast, but I did want to see 50

Just out of curiosity how fast was the Baja? Nice boat you have there.

The Baja would run 60 on the rev limiter with the 24 Raker. It hit 64 with two over hub props. I lost interest in trying to go fast with the Baja as I also have an SS2000. There might have been more there with some prop height tuning.

The logical next step since my second boat didn't have to be fast was to upgrade to a better ski boat.

even though the J Craft is not intended for speed, I had to find out what it would do. I even carried a hand held gps on my lawnmower once
