Naa their not bad, I insure quite a few. If it's inland it's not bad. If it's Fl it can get a little pricey. I'm hoping to get a deal j/k.

Up until this year the 28 was out of production for many years. So really no such thing as a late model 28. And the clean ones are no bargain. The 28 Skater is one of most desired outboard cats right now.

Depending on current survey, prior cat experience I have several carriers I use. If I have a current good survey, and prior cat experience, or Tres Martin Performance Course I can get to $1,000,000 in liability.

I sent you a PM, we are a broker and direct agency. We are the largest in the performance boat insurance market. We have exclusive programs with A rated US admitted carriers.

I just put brand new 2017 300xs on mine, but it would take $150k to buy it. Freshwater boat with 78 hours on hull. $40k TOAD Paint job.

Very nice 28, and way better than the completely stock 1990's 28 that was e mailed to me for $150,000.

Andy helped me out in a big way getting into my first cat (28 Skater). He understood liabilities, umbrella policies, potential gaps in insurance, etc. I was not as concerned about the boat as I was liability, and Andy had a program that nailed it.

If you haven't seen the Doug Wright designed 28, you should check it out. You can have 2018 everything for that money with great performance.
