    20" 4 hole 1.87 CLE

    SOLD

    20" 4 hole 1.87 CLE REDUCED: $600+ shipping
This CLE was my spare never ran it looks like a good piece, carrier is pinned water pump included but suggest inspect or replace. There is a plug screw in the top side of the bullet bulge, I don't know why, (see photos). Looks like torque tab was added (rivets show). Just changed oil with Amsoil synthetic 2 days ago.

    what is a pinned carrier?
A ratchet style but someone drilled a hole and pinned it so there is no more ratchet? Just guessing here.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

There are bolts/screws through the case housing and the rear of the bearing carrier so that it will not spin out and come apart in a surfacing application.

It is a pinned carrier. I honestly don't know the process for that I thought it just meant the carrier nut is staked or something...? Brett (Cherokee Chief) owned it before it came off his 225 Pro Max when he went Sportmaster. I bought it for a spare I trust him that its a good running unit. I've never run it. Everything looks tight and it shifts. I changed the gear oil with Amsoil synthetic marine gear oil last week.

I was really wondering if it still has the ratchet function. That's why I was wondering what pinning meant.

I believe all CLEs are racheting. I'd double check but I packed it up good to ship out already. I spoke to Brett today, he did use this lower for the 2015 season then he got a Sportmaster sometime that season.
