    C5 Corvette differentials

    anyone have problems with them? Friend is on his second one and just puked. Low miles......

    Is he adding power to it and drag racing it hard? Drag radial tires?

    Is there power adders? Super charger or N20. Hard to imagine having any issues with stock power and non drag radials.

    That's what I was thinking too, he just did a 250 mile trip in it, sure he drove it at least 80 all the way.

    First thing I thought was it needs a progressive on the nitrous ...
    Those C-5's use a trans / third member as a single unit . Light weight castings that flex under load . There are a couple company's making strut kits that tie them together , but even then , the posi and ring gear are awful small in those ...

    That's what my C-3 has in it . The new stuff looks like a 7.5" ..

    I've got most of the stuff to put a skinny 9" and mini tubs under mine ... free time and age are working against me ..

    C3s are nice. I've got 13.5 Et's under mine and I didn't put on my offset trailing arms yet. Not sure how long the rear diff will last but until it blows, Im keeping it.

    This LS power is really something. It can sure tears up drivetrains. I built a nice strong rearend for mine at the start, knowing it might be the weak link. So now I just replace transmission(4L60E), after transmission, after transmission...lol.
