Here's my plan: I will give Sandi a .50 caliber Desert Eagle, then hold a book in front of my chest while she shoots the gun at me, at point-blank range. That kind of stunt will make me insta-famous. The book will definitely stop a .50 caliber bullet, right??? Imagine all the YouTube subscribers and views I'll get!!!

That is insane! This is what happens when people believe a couch or a drywall wall stops bullets like in the movies.

If this guy would have had a basic understanding of physics and ballistics he would have understood when he shot the book and the bullet didn't go through that distance bleeds energy as well as if the book was unsupported, when he shot it, some of the energy from the bullet was used up pushing the book vs. holding the book and all of the energy is used penetrating the book.
Either way who in their right mind thinks a book can stop a .50AE from 1 foot distance.

Gary, you are 100% correct. I've thought this myself. Dumber and dumber stunts in order to get more YouTube views or subscribers.
I must be getting old, because the things these kids do today I would never have imagined doing when I was in my teens. You know, I've done my fair share of dumb things when I was young, but I never did anything to vandalize property. I've always been extremely against vandalism of any sort.
