250 xs fully dressed powerhead swap to proxs
i have a 2006 250XS that bit the dust. talking to mercury with no success because the only serial # i have is for a racing xs. from what i have found out is they only offer a fully dressed power head new from mercury for the 250 pro XS. with that said. will the newer motor's say 2017 250 proXS power head bolt up and tuner mate, water tubes and what ever left wiring ect. work ?. if this is possible what do i need to get my mech. to order.

Should swap right over. Wiring is the same. Expect to lose 20hp+ with the pro XS Vs the old XS.

yep i have one. i was looking at some reman short blocks for some reason they separate 2006 - 20014 as the same , 15 and up different. ?
