Good or bad ??Messing round with boats is fun !! the learning never stops ,even after more than 30 years there's always something new happening somewhere ! BUT somethings never change and some problems never go away and just keep reoccurring !!so moved into Composite Forensics , Now that something completely new !!

Molds only. For prevention of print thru....Any boat core use is a bad compromise. Like soaking cotton balls in resin. Also contains Q cells which you have said you hate and wouldn't let in the shop.....

REAL SIMPLE !!
If you read the spec sheet for each of the various thicknesses of core matt there is a given amount of resin that is required to saturate x number of square meters of the core matt !!
If that's to hard then just wet it till it wont take any more resin and is shiny on the surface , then lay a 300 or 450 gram csm over the top and wet and roll that also ! when the csm is perfectly saturated all over and is rolled lightly with a fined roller ! that's it !
One company the foreman had a pump counter on the arm OF THE RESIN PUMP and had worked out the resin displacement per stroke of the pump and because all the panels were the same size we just sprayed and pumped the set required amount and then was ready for glass !
The worst possible thing you can do to core matt is UNDER WET IT !!!
ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO OVER WET IT !!Last edited by tunnels; 06-27-2017 at 10:20 AM.

Might as well use some cardboard. Like they use as core on porta johns. Cheap and effective.

sorry but card board and paper and all plastics and polystyrene etc etc fetch a good price for the elderly that collect huge loads of that stuff for recycling , same in Japan hardly nothing gets wasted!
only time I have every seen card board used was one company I worked for in Queensland Australia they tried to stiffen a water tank ! I cracked up when I saw what they were doing !! cause it didn't work and was a complete waste of time and materials !!the boss was a SCOTSMAN JUST LIKE TRUMP an idiot !!!
Chinese when they making things generally over build to the point of ridiculous here !!
what gets exported is to the specs of what is demanded !! So you get what you asked for MASTER !!!!!Last edited by tunnels; 06-27-2017 at 06:22 PM.

PS you get what you asked for if your silly enough to think the demo part will be the same as the shipped part when you are buying from china.
I must hear a story every other week about that
Occasionally something big
Singapore shipping trains back to repair as there was something funny about the aluminium in the structure.
http://www.straitstimes.com/singapor...to-fix-defects
Plenty of stories in the Oil n Gas business where staff inside the business have done large scale frauds and almost bankrupted the owners by parts substitution causing project delays or shutting down rigs/fpso etc, doesnt make the press but its hundreds of millions of dollars.
Quite often is just crap nuts and bolts in the supply chain after you receive your sample.
Does China still have the ban on Chinese companies supplying pressure vessels both internally and for export?
Clearly the government knows what happens internallyLast edited by powerabout; 06-27-2017 at 07:24 PM.

Back to the glass shop and suck some more fumes funnels. Your delusional as well as moronic. You always bring up some anti American Bs and you saying foolish things about President Trump, when you have no knowledge of him just shows your total ignorance.
