    Race Day, 1970s

A bunch of very cool boats in this shot. This is from Randy Rabe's photo archive. Batch 5 will be added this week!

My memory fails me on this one. That is my boat and car in the background and I recognize several of the other boats in the picture. I just can't recall where this one is from?

The Mustang is a 73 302 4 speed car. Early 302. Had the heads off that motor twice in 3 years. Kept burning valves. No trunck room in that car hence the roof rack. Picture might be 1975 because there is Olegators JP Viper and I always associate that boat with 75

...think your right on the year. yes, gas was crappy in those years, burning valves, etc. i thought 73 was the first year for rear impact bumpers on rustang grandes?

I have owned several Mustangs. That one was the worst. Besides the valve issues it did rust very quickly. Kept it 3 years and traded it for a Monte Carlo which lost the bottom end out of the motor at 88k. 70s domestic automotive quality?

By 75 me and Charlie Lyons were about the only ones still running v-bottom boats in a Sport class.
