Prop Suggestions
My friend has a 2009 Procraft 19' with a 150 merc optimax. He currently running a 19" three blade prop (not sure what make) but he's looking for a little more top end speed. Should he go to a bigger pitch 4 blade or stay with a three blade? He doesn't want to lose his hole shot either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was advised by some Bass Boater to run a 4 Blade SS prop on my 16 Schuster Tahiti with a 150 Optimax hanging off the back. The Bass Boat guys told me I needed the lift of a 4 blade to get the transom up and out of the water. I started with a 20 P MI Wheel and it really worked, now running a 22 P 14.5 and the hole shot is brutal as the bow goes up lays flat and doing 30 mph......Hate to be a skier behind it. next will be a 23 P Ballistic MI Wheel.
I also still need to get a 4 inch setback jack plate installed to start playing with motor height.
