I wanted to do this as I went along but if in the middle it did not work I would feel like an ass so I made it than posting it as it was a success.Guess the fine folks on this get to read the whole 3 week thread in one day enjoy that was a lot of work.So now the unveiling here it is measures 15 inches top of pan to bottom of mid.By the way I did not plan on the skirts fitting without carving them up some but lucky HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN must have been the beer?

yeah, I started to do one a few years ago..... welded aluminum tube the the pan to put bolts to hold it together where nothing hits and cut it down the middle front to rear.

To take off, just take the four mount bolts out, take out the bolts for the split and disconnect the pisser......

BTW please do a pic show of the "split pan" if ya do it as I would kill to do mine too! Always liked the "zipper" in my old Gasser to change clutches at the drags.... The tunnel came out behind the firewall so you could change the pressure plate/disk while sittin in the car! That was back in the mid '70s"....WOW I'm gettin REAL old! Gary
