I have CCM reeds put them against the reed cage but there is not much to widen. I have noticed on the back of every reed theres a sort of lip around them. This will make the mixture swirl more just as it enters the reeds. I was going to flatten them but then thought if the flow from the carbs is straight with no bumps or edges to go over the last thing it hits are these edges,. surely this is a good thing as it give one last mix ?
I have lapped the cages with 400 wet and dry, What else can be done ??

So I got the 1983 chrome bore 200hp back from the shop today # 2 needed a steel sleeve, droped the two pieces of the mid of to get milled flat [ cutting it down to make a 15 in mid] ordered the ccm reeds, gasket set and 5 ring sets for the rebuild. Not done playing with the v-4 yet but this v-6 will be pretty scarry on this small of a boat. Should have it rigged to go mid summer?
