    Ok so this is going to be hard [pics the biggest problem] so bear wit me.I said last year if I came across a free mid I would try a 12 inch mid so here it is IT JUST BARLEY WORKED.Started with a 1996 60 degree mid can the same as older ones just a little different.Cant use the swivel or clamps steering arm and upper mount way different.

    stocl height is 17 1/4 tall so marked out 8 inches and sawzall it just short so machine shop can mill both pieces flat.

    cut off 7 3/4 off steering arm, tuner now 6 inches cut section off swivel bracket.mid now 9 1/2 tall with adapter 12 3/4 tall

    The bottom of the swivel brackets last 1 1/2 only fits the steering arm diameter higher than that it gets bigger so I cut the end off to make a 1 inch block to bolt and weld back on.When I make 15 inch mids I can get 4 recessed 1/4 20 cap screws to bolt it back on the swivwl bracket with the 12 inch I can only get two screws so I have to weld it also.

    pics of the end of bracket,when I cut it off I need to cut the bottom of it off also cause its not flat so I loose the rubber seal part on the end.

    bottom of bracket only room for two bolts no big deal have welder.
