2017 OFF reunion

They must have been hit by embedded tornadoes.
i rode it out in S Florida and went over to South Ft Meyers where Irma's eye came ashore after regaining strength after hitting the keys.
i was amazed at the lack of physical damage to structures.
i passed hundreds and hundreds of trailers that suffered no damage.
there were many trees limbs broken off and a few down.
From what I saw the oak trees suffered the most.
The major damage I saw was due to houses getting flooded inside them.
Let's hope Tavares makes it back, as those folks are great for all boat related events.

The status of OFF will be determined after Sept 25th. I am open to possible suggestions in Florida if Tavares is not available. Bill John has alluded to "options" so we are on hold at present. However, if you have any ideas...please PM me....

Hey Tom, You're in the vacinity of Tavares.....please drive by Wooten Park every now and then and let us know your perspective on the overall condition of the facility to support a race there in Nov. & March. By overall I'm talking pits, docks, RV access/parking, and crew parking, etc. Also, what is the construction status that the Town has undertaken. Last time the access to the RV area was bad as were the local streets getting to the pits. This ought to give us a 2nd opinion on what we hear (or don't hear) from the CRA. Thanks!

Another sad situation. The folks in Travares really need that economic boost from the events and have been great to deal with from what I have seen.

they have had several news reports showing video from the clean up there. Estimates are about $2.5 million to remove and replace . they are still digging sunk boat out of th e lake. Tavares understands the loss of revenue and is taking action to get the seaplane base reopened as soon as possible. Theyare saying all of the marina docks are destroyed and will have to be replaced.

Be interesting what they say on the 25th to Bill .

Thanks...I didn't know that - thought he wasa lot closer than that. Not sure if others have seen a newer video showing them cleaning
up Wooten Park - boats and docks, etc.... They're getting right on it. Estimate is $2.5M

Sorry Tom, thought you were in Palm Bay. My Bad. Tavares will get Wooten Park in a usable state pretty soon. Its become a more widely used/needed spot during each winter over the years. Have a new home there, on Little Lake Harris, that I can use anytime. Mt. Dora isn't interested in hosting again, since they divested themselves back when.
