If I understand everything correct this CCC powerhead is going to be installed at Mark Rotharmel's blue #11 Molinari.
    Have fun and enjoy.

I wonder how a CCC would go with an even fire crank?

The Looper is a '07 block with a Dave Bush sleeve and piston kit installed, bringing it to 3.3L. The wayne Taylor X-front with CCC carbs is apparent. The complete ignition is Yamaha. This is very similar to the motor in the video (above), but has carbs vs FI. BTW, it weighs 220#s.
Hi Rodger hope you are keeping well nice looking engines only 30 yrs apart that lower balancer weight was always a problem i remember the first CCC I tested went straight round to 8400 rpm it had so much more acceleration than the 2.0Litre engines when you run yours round at Tavares do you run it around 7000rpm.

    Hello Steve,
I usually run it between 7200 and 7600 depending upon the conditions. We aren't racing in Vintage, so there's no need to ring it out. The CCC is slow out of the corner if you don't keep the RPMs up....that's where the Looper comes in. The real unfortunatel thing is that I started the Looper with Freddie Webb almost two years ago when I was running the no-lift O'Berry Marine Molinari. Now I have Gold Dust which has a whopping 3.5" lift, as it was built for Parker and Havasu. It doesn't need the power as the lift keeps it up. Part of our problem is that APBA V&H has shortened the courses and we're generally confronted with sweeping 2 or 3 pin turns. Not exactly what a tunnel hull likes. The Wings are miserable on these short courses. One thing for sure, the OMC's don't stop pulling down the straights....too bad those corners get there so soon - lol.

Hello Rodger the gold dust Molinari looks like a 17ft boat 3.5"" lift helps to carry 55gall load of fuel for the marathon races that boat looks the same 17ft size boat that Molinari and Hering ran from late 1977 around that time OMC had the first delivery of 6x 18ft Molinaris for the 1977 Paris 6hr race after the race they were all shipped back to the US except my own i would think they all would have raced at parker and havasu they were a good marathon boat ideal for rough water races even though Bob Hering managed to submarine one in the 1977 Thames boat race. The O`berry marine Molinari is a boat i never saw run in Europe the size says its a sprint boat.I am hoping to get the Bullens to come over for next year i have a prop to bring for you to try next year if i am allowed to bring it in hand luggage its one of Henricks had to wait 18 months for delivery at the time.

    Johnny Sanders

My guess: Sanders was using a Johnson GT-115 so it must be around 1967-68.
