Remove material from the rounded end of the reed cage to make it match the square reed(s).

    Fwiw the Baja ran 54.9 with a '86 90. And 62.9 with a '83 140.

Best with the "7 1/2 paged" frankinrude motor so far's 66.7.

Wow.... My bet is I can put a jack plate on that boat and a decent steering system and get 50 out of it easy if it has a straight solid hull free of hooks, etc. Chine walk at 40?

You are putting the "carriage in front of the horse".

They don't look even close to identical. Hold one of each in your hand. The V4 is huge in comparison.

    Yep, you're still a dickhead.

I still have a '79 100hp high ring OMC that has never had the heads off. Just over 48 mph GPS with 420# of persons, an ice chest with a case of beer, and 18 gallons of gas. With nothing in the boat but me and a 6 gallon can, you had to "get up on the wheel".

This has been entertaining. BTW the 9 pages was designed for the V6, NOT THE V4!!!

    Carry on.

    The Starcraft...

My 16 Baja ran 58 with a '80 115 no jack plate and with the 2.5 175, got it to 70 without a jack plate.
