13K is a steal for a new one in opinion. A nice trailer from Strongback is 5500 to 6000 and if you have everything else it sounds like the way to go. If Brent doesn't end up selling his you will definitely have a couple guys to play with "Brad, Nick, and Brent".

I had a modified v8 on my euro, and it was a beast. A Lightweight cowling and V6 gearcase on a v8 will put it right at 300xs weight. Run the least amount of setback as possible and dont add any unnecessary weight in the stern of the boat. I eventually added a sportmaster and short mid but never really finished setting it up. I ended up selling the euro for a V21, and swapped my V8 stuff for my brother's etec. The Triad handles the chop on our lake much better than the stv, but when the water was smooth the euro was really a blast. If you have more questions you can call or message me about it. I have more pics somewhere if i can find them

Man, that just looks like a ton of fun. You and STVKeith have me looking at those Euros now... The one thing I do NOT like about them is the steering on the RH side, hopefully that can be changed if I order it new. That is a cool boat for sure regardless.... I wonder if Monty can make me a 12" mid....

I use to run with the guy who had this back in the late 80's and early 90's. We ran him in dad's 24 and I had an 86 STV with a Mod VP 2.4 on it. Only way I could run with him is if it got so rough he had to get out of it . That thing was fast. Very cool to see it surface again.

I rode with sam when he had that at the Suwannee. He woke us up at 8 am making passes in front of the hotel. We could hear it for miles. Cool ride for sure.

My boat is LH steer. If you think about it, a RH spinning prop tries to lift the starboard bow of the boat, so moving weight to the right helps level it out? I've never had any issues. Shifter is on the right side, which I like.

OMC's go to a 16" mid...cut down 20" offshore. Talk to Jack when you talk to him about the boat...he can do that too.

The case I will use initially is a LH gear case so LH steer will fit perfect if we end up with a Euro. I steer my cars, trucks, Scarab, and Jets from the LH side so I'm kinda set about that matter. However, the guy doing my stringers, floor, and other glass work on my Scarab right now will fix it if Jack can't. And I will talk to Jack about that mid too. I'm exited to start this project but will finish the Scarab first, and its looking good I tell ya....

Lots of good post and pictures on here, please keep them coming. And if anyone has some performance numbers I'll be happy to hear about them too. What about lowers? Anybody going with anything that's wastely improved from the stock one?

At Buckeye lake we referred to Jim's STV with the Johnson f1 as the "Lethal Weapon". Man that thing was fast!

    Kimswang,

I understand wanting things your way, I get it but to entirely redesign the dashboard of an STV Euro will be a tremendous fiberglass undertaking when you consider the configuration it has. Look at these pics and you'll see why this wont be easy nor cheap in cost.
