    Complete 2.4 200 Merc

Motor is a 1985 Carbed 2.4L 200 HP "Black Max"

I am not the original owner so total hours are unknown. I've put about 75 to 100 hours over three summers.
Motor is pretty clean for a saltwater engine, I always flushed it and sprayed with CRC-656.
Power head is stock, lower is 1:1.87, small shaft, has a nose cone, not sure if it is a bobs cone.
L.U. had some of the bondo/filler that blends the cone to the case break off, (no, I definitely did Not hit anything). Filled it with some PC-11 and sanded, but haven't painted it.
It has the stock engine mounts, (not solid mounts)
Oil injection and fuel pump are still on motor, never touched them. Always ran 89 Octane, with Mercury 2 stroke oil. Never had any problems with it.

After the transom on my checkmate almost peeled off, I thoroughly fogged the motor and put it in the corner of garage. After sitting for 4 years and taking up space it has to go.
I drained the carbs and put new plugs in, started in about 5 cranks last night.
Checked compression, 120 to 125 psi, except for #4 at 118....some of the plug threads came out with the old plug...
    Asking $1500 Obo

Any questions, contact on S&F or text (203) 940 2650
