It's in your state. I sold it in late 2014 to a guy named Jeff Kent, I'm not sure what town in FL he lives. He was supposed to restore it with a 1500xs and run it with us in V & H. I have not made the past few Tavares events but I'm pretty sure he participated with a Carlson tunnel/inline setup. Don't know what stage the Ventura is in.

For a pleasure boat where pulley cable is not practical, it's the next best thing.

I have been in a lot of boats that were simply undrivable with a single setup.

Had my xs on a vixen with a 32 cleaver it ran just about 90. That is all it was good for was top end, other wise it was a terrible boat. Surprisingly it was very easy to drive because they don't pack a lot of air and run very flat.
I'd do a vertura/action.

I ended buying a 1975 viper with a 1985 115, it should be here Thursday. I have to recore it, but otherwise the boat appears super clean.

Good choice. Lotsa fun. The Viper was tooled from a shortened Ventura l originally.

I owned one years ago, but put a 2.4 on it. As part of the agreement with my wife the inline will stay on it. I think she got scared several times with the v6 on it. The boat has a mid eighties adi 115 on it. I already tracked down and xs cowl for it, I'm now trying to find a 15" midsection, I'm going to try and mate it up to the integral trim clamp bracket if possible.

As far as I know I thought something was up with the core in it, which was unbelievable knowing the history of the boat.

In the Rabe photos batch 4 there is a shot of Olegator in his JP class Viper at the Marine Stadium.
