Challenger or Superboat?
Given all things equal, condition, power etc which one would you rather have? What is the difference between the two? I think the Challenger is heavier so does it ride better? Thanks

Ive had both, the challenger was a better ride but certainly not as fast as the super with same HP. JMO

Love them both, but prefer the Challenger for the old school look and nostalgia. Heavy construction, lots of teak, custom built hardware like cleats, rails, handles, rubrails, etc., nothing off the shelf. Ride is better and top speed is lower. Superboats are built more like today's boats with lighter construction, off the shelf hardware, etc. If top speeds your thing they're faster.

All things generally being equal the superboat will probably be faster, the challenger will probably provide the 'better ride' in rough stuff. It will probably be harder to find a challenger in good / great condition given when they stopped making them...... at the end of the day ...either is a winning choice.

Oh Yeah...
Well I have some serious love for that Challenger but in this case I'm sure the superboat is better for speed....and considering I always end up with light colored interiors... Impossible to keep clean I wish I had that interior in the superboat lol.
But Mikes right challenger goes through snot like a Sherman tank.... The superboat flies across the water like a fighter jet.

I had a 1992 superboat, it was a great boat in the rough. I just sold a 21 checkmate, not real comfortable with in in the ocean. The Super I took out in the ocean without a worry. Its easier to find a decent superboat than a challenger.

In fact I just bought a big Bow-rider to keep the family happy. I am going to look for a nice superboat to have some fun in. I finally got it through my head there really isn't an all around boat that checks all boxes, so I am just going to have 2 boats.
