Stiff land and sea foot throttle
Im new to foot throttles but bought a boat with one in it. It takes considerable amout of force to operate the foot throttle is this normal for land and sea can i adjust the return spring tension or could it be a bad throttle cable. It seems to return fine when i let off.

They are not the greatest foot throttles. Check the Delrin rollers - are they thrashed or gunked up with old grease ? Is the throttle mounted in correct alignment with your leg ? If you're pushing on a slight angle it will make it worse. And yes it could also be the cable or a combination thereof.
