1995 2.5 promax oil alarm problem

Looking for some wisdom.......my oil alarm contines to beep, I have replaced the sensor module, sensor in the oil reservoir checks out with ohm meter....I removed the oil pump used a screw driver in the baring assembly and manually turned the crank , the drive gear on the crank does not appear to be worn.....is this gear steel or plastic on this year model.....the senor on top of the oil pump is in question but everyone I spoke with never seen one go bad, maybe baring assembly with magnet is worn enough to cause a probem...pump is pumping oil so now I am lost....any suggestions

Yeah, pull it all off and throw it in the trash, then premix....you will be glad you did. Drive gear on the crank is plastic. Those are great motors but the oil injection system...not so much.

If you must keep it, run the engine on premix and do the volume out put check in the service manual to confirm its operating properly first.

I would also suggest to remove it and premix. Pretty simple then, if it is running it will be getting lubrication.
Even though that plastic gear is stout, it is no match for a metal pump gear.

Sensor magnet in oil pump does have to be oriented in the correct direction. Can't say the correct orientation w/o a manual. Just a guess.
