Bleed lines direct to fuel tank?

I was browsing the archives the other day and read a post where it was suggested to run the bleed lines back to the fuel tank instead of to the crankcase. The guy that posted it has no recent activity and the post was from years ago. Just curious if anybody has experience with a setup like this?

Apparently the primary crankcase pressure will push puddled fuel in the intake directly back to the fuel tank instead of dumping it into the crankcase. It's supposed to clean up the idle and off idle performance. Sounded plausible maybe, also maybe like a nightmare of tiny hoses running about everywhere!

I tried it but it didn't seem to have enough crankcase pressure to push it all the way back to the tank.

ran a manifold setup to a return and it worked for midrange and that motor was overly cantankerous at idle so it made it POSSIBLE to shift it if needed and not be at 1300 in neutral but that was many years ago before I became a better tuner, now I just get out the jet kit and run the std bleed setup to minimize low speed fuel puddle
