I think it comes from one of Marathon's refineries:

Good find on material markus, I especially like the part about "whether states require it or not".

Side note I might buy a Panchanga this week for our local small lake.

When I lived in Ontario, used Sunonco most times. They had the highest octane available at stations at the time. 93 plus. Mainly because one station of theirs, sold their 98 race fuel at the pump. A friend of mine did drag racing, mostly VW drag cars. His bus has a 911 RSR race engine (Porsche) and it was the only place he could get gas.

Here I use mostly use Chevron because they have ethanol free 94.

My biggest concern these days is trying to locate ethanol-free fuels. I think maybe we should start a thread on known ethanol-free gas stations in popular areas.

    Greg
Puregas.org lists every station in the US that sells E-Free gas along with what octane and current cost. I just hauled home 27 gallons of 93 E-Free gas from Royal in Harrisonburg VA to Maryland where there is no E-Free gas locally. I run it in my Euro bikes with composite tanks as the ethanol attacks them. I have run the Royal 93 in my Four Winns (351 EFI Ford) and supercharged SeaDoo GTX for the last several seasons with no issues.

@427Man Fantastic, I appreciate that information. I would like nothing more than to see ethanol-blended fuels go away forever.

Amen to that Greg. Ethanol is evil and costs more to manufacture than it can be sold for. Clearly there are no gearheads in Congress.
