    Also i should lock tite everything I gather? What color red or blue? And for the gaskets just clean the surface and put them on or should i use a gasket sealer along with the gasket? thinking just plain so there isnt any goop on the inside were fuel plays?

    either way.. reed blocks (bench work) gotta come off tha plate.....

    red reed blocks, blue on 12 1/4" bolts

    you could use tha blue on anything else ya want to.. i never did but its cause of very little run time between redos' and/or jus ta change something for whatever reason......

    James you will get her done, manual should say what loctite to use on what bolts. If you choose not to use loctite put some light oil on the threads of the bolts to get proper torque.

    Yes i will now thanks to you guys help. i can take anything apart and put back together if I have an idea of what i need to do. Going to build a bench just for this job as i need to swap cans and tuners also. Have everything ready to go so im not held up waiting for anything. It will be nice to open er up and take a look at the reeds also. 11 years since rebuild no idea how many hours but lots for sure 7000+ rpm. Other than a stator a switch box or two and few coils and tighter heads haven't had to mess with to much before going in deeper like this.

    Whipper, since your going to be there anyway when removing the intake, send your injectors out to be cleaned and flowed. After 11 years, they will certainly need it.
