Is there such a thing as a family boat that goes fast?

I'm stuck in the area of wanting a boat that does around 75 mph but still can take my family out and tube/ride around, and can take Lake waves. Not hug lakes but bigger boats.

I had a bass boat type hull which would good, would do 60's, but waves beat us up.

    I'm ok with changing props.

    Any ideas?

    Family of four.

    thanks!

I use an Allison SS2000 as a family of 4 boat but a Grandsport or XB2003 might have been better choices. Ally's ride pretty good for their size. If you need a smoother ride then a SOB, ie 21 deep V. Tuff 21, or something similar.

22 Talon, 21 liberator, or LCB Sportdeck if you want to really run. Otherwise, (21 superboat or copy of), 21 checkmate (open or closed bow) or 21 tuff.

All great options. I think a 21 or 24ft Checkmate 300xs with {bow rider} would be just what the doctor ordered for you though. That is a fast family boat thats hard to beat the room and ride with great speed. 80+ for the 21 or 24 with the 300xs. Yellow one is a sweet 24 Randy did and the other one is a 21ft.

I use my 24 Skater as a family boat.. We have had 4 adults and 2/3 kids on it all the time along with bags and coolers.. We anchor and swim off it all the time.. with the center tunnel tab is is simple to board as well.. Not sure what you consider fast but it runs well enough to have fun...

Pulling kids on tubes with a 24 might get you some strange looks from other boaters. Sounds like something my brother used to do with his girlfriends kids LOL... Pulling skiers with an STV (they got a shower every time they crossed inside the wake).
