    300xs fuel filters

Should I be running a water separator before the engine or is the one on the motor sufficient? I currently have one in the boat and sometime the motor seems to be starving for fuel and was thinking about removing the in the boat one

Been running boat mounted seps on a pair of 225 Opti fish for years without issues. Not sure if Merc recommends using them on the XS's

Have them on my Skater w/ 300XS's. This discussion was up on a thread a while back. I did some research and found that a Raycor 320R flows 60GPH. That is waay more than a 300SX could ever need. Mercury says they are acceptable if installed correctly. Whatever that means!

With the racors and others i'm sure, you can mount a vac gauge to monitor the restriction the filters are causing.
