I got my tin boat back from the beauty shop

This a 1953 Feathercraft dual cockpit that followed me home a couple weeks ago. We became friends so I agreed to keep her. The 50 yamaha is getting shortened, I have hyd. steering for her, the new little tinted windshield with a polished center post and end pillars is being built, her new trailer has been ordered, I had some teak floors built, then we just need a nice interior.

I am not one to try and tell someone what to do or how to do it but I would bet if you shined that thing up a little it would look pretty cool. Absolutely outstanding.

It had one on it that needed to be restored but ran good. I had a 50 yamaha already so I decided to go the most reliable route and have power trim as well.

I ended up with two tin boats Brent. I told one guy that I would like to buy it and he dragged his feet so I looked at another one, bought it, then the original guy called me back. Let me know if Blake needs a new toy.

Very cool project! If you ever decide to restore the old motor, I found that http://www.marineengine.com/ is great for finding NOS parts. Been working on a 1970 Mercury 400 for my daughters Whaler.

Did you sell the original engine or do you still have it. I had one as a kid and that sound was great and it ran hard for many years. Are you gonna run in salt or just fresh water? Rick
