Gun Deals Thread
Thought it would be cool to have a thread to share deals when we come across them.
I just bought a M&P Shield .45 from Palmetto State Armory for $275 shipped. They have a sale and free shipping on a bunch of the SW M&P models and SW is offering a rebate to boot.

That is a great price and I didn't realise they sold other brands besides their stuff. I thought they were just doing AR stuff.

Started breaking mine in. Ran a box of 50 through it. Not bad with a brand new gun.
PS. the low and left rounds are double taps (second round).

If you a gun guy PSA is a great place to sign up for daily emails. They don't always have the best prices but every once in a while they have a screaming deal.
A year or so ago I bought 3 Taurus PT111 gen 2s 9mms for "truck" guns for under $200 each. Put one in each vehicle. If the window gets smashed and the gun stolen I'll be pissed, but not as pissed as if I lose a $600+ gun that I care about.

Great idea on the thread, Chris. Maybe we can also get a gun/shooting pics thread here too. I started getting into shooting again.
I checked out an M&P 15T (AR15) on sale locally here for $799, which is an unreal price for what this model is. It was at Shoot Straight in Fort Myers. They told me gun sales were greatly increased prior to the election, which resulted in a lot of overstock now. There was a presumed fear that Hillary would ban many firearms, which created the overstock situation now, and the sale.

This is not my photo but it's the same rifle.

While it's nice to buy a rifle, there is something about putting one together yourself. ARs are the Legos of the gun world. Palmetto has good deals to be found on parts and you can build yourself a better rifle for the same price and know exactly how it all works inside and out.
If you really want to have fun order a billet 80% lower and find a mill!
EDIT: PSA has basic lowers on sale for $50 today. http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-a...fire-1728.html
You will have to have it shipped to a FFL and pay the transfer fee ($20 if you shop around) all the rest of the parts can be shipped to your door.Last edited by RSWORDS; 05-21-2017 at 08:39 AM.

Good thread.... I discovered Canadians are exempted from the laws restricting "alien" firearm rights in the USA. Since our police also use the FBI's criminal database NCIC, the FBI can do a full background check on Canadians. All I need is proof that my entry into the USA was legal and an address residence in the state of Washington. So plan on some summer gun purchases for my Washington house.
Washington State despite a long history of being a liberal state. Does have some friendly citizen rights gun wise. Like open carry. There is some great boating, fishing, water skiing, etc. on the Columbia River in Washington and Oregon too. The problem there is a few rural parks that are not used by most people. They have self serve camping sites. A lot of "homeless" meth heads and even undocumented "workers" live in these parks. The attraction is during the week and even some weekends, zero people using the launch ramps and docks. I was at a state park like this, had a friend and his kids and my dad with us. My Dad was almost mugged by two meth heads when he left our group to use the bathrooms. He was lucky me and my friend decided to hit the washroom just as the two crack heads made their move to grab him. My friend is American and he luckily had a 38 revolver on him at the time............ Friend made it obvious he had a gun on his hip. The meth heads fled. We called the state police and they said muggings in that park is daily!
This is the park: http://www.stateparks.com/daroga_sta...ashington.html
The WA constitution takes the second one step further. They specifically grant the right to bear firearms for personnel and state protection. So most state parks outside of cities like Seattle. You can have a gun. Besides having nice boat ramps and docks. Being uncrowded I can also bring all four of my dogs and not have too worry about people or other dogs. Second the designated picnic areas sometimes have zero people around. I hate cooking out at public parks, with a bunch of strangers around. So its like having a BBQ at home. Since the launch ramp is not busy, you can dock at the ramp courtesy dock all day, even water ski from the docks.
But since you get a few meth/crack heads around, a gun is a must have!Last edited by poncho; 05-19-2017 at 01:19 PM.
