    1992 28' Redline with Twin 2.5 Mercurys 245hp

Price reduction $35,000, possible trade for newer diesel truck

This is a Michigan fresh water boat. I bought the boat in 2014 and spent 2014 and 2015 redoing it completely. I used it one season (2016) in MI before moving to Iowa. The boat has been totally rebuild. The Motors, drives, mids, gauges, throttles/shifters, wiring, cables, batteries, re-rigged the boat completely new from North Bay Marine in Chesterfield MI. Doug that works at North Bay is one of the best outboard/boat guys around and is why I had him build it. Doug ended up putting new pistons in the motors and said the cylinder's were within spec. He used all mercury parts when it come to rebuilding motors and drives. The Motors are 245HP with CLE cases that are original to the boat. The Livorsi gauges and throttles are something I always wanted and spent a pretty penny to get them.

So on to the hull. I am the 3rd owner of this boat. The boat has run in MI its entire life in fresh water. The last owner I bought It from was 80 years old and used it very little if at all the last couple years. I believe he owned it for 18 years. The boat never sat in water for long periods as far as I'm aware of. The Hull is really solid. There was a crack on the top tip of the transom when I bought it. It made me nervous so I took it to Glass Dave. Glass Dave found no water damage to hull. He sealed up crack and put reinforced stringers in the back with heavy aluminum brackegs for support. He also rebuilt the dash custom so I could put the livorsi monster gauges in it. Installed new rub rial. Then as time went on I was having chunks of something in my fuel filters. Dave and I both assumed it was the tanks coming apart. So I took it to him and he cut the floor out and found that the tanks were in perfect shape. Were still not a 100% sure what the chunks were. Thinking it might be from the fuel sitting so long in the boat without it moving a reaction to the dry gas/maybe varnish/ not sure. Anyway I spent several thousand getting it all ground out and dave put liners in the boat. So the tanks are in perfect shape good for the life of the boat. There is a cabin/underneath in the boat. You could put a mattress in there if you wanted. There seems to be lots of support braising in the hull. Looks like the boat is build to last.

When we rigged the boat we set it up based on another redline that did 118 with 280's. We moved the motors up and out. I ended up getting a new heavy duty tie bar built. I have 28p 3 blade props that have been labbed by BBlades on the boat. Ive currently ran the boat at 7500 rpm 93 mph. It felt really good at that speed. I feel like the setup is spot on.The only time I really opened it up because my wife was not with me and she doesn't like to go over 80 im assuming it will do 95 in the perfect conditions.

I also did a lot of work to the trailer. New tires and rims, painted trailer, new lights, new bunks

It could use new interior now. That was next on the list this year if I kept it.

I am asking 40k for the boat. Reduction $37,500

Why does the cabin underneath look like the boat was flooded and the carpets falling off?
