How are they out of the hole? Will my 150 be enough to turn a 27 SRX?

My 2.0 comes out better with a 27 SRX than with any through hub prop. Your 2.5 should be fine. My Varmint is way heavier than your Vector and I typically carry passengers.

Small ear 26-30 would be a good choice too. I hope to be able to try a small ear 30 soon, don't know if the little 2 liter will turn it!

I agree they come come out the hole well for an over the hub prop. Especially if the leading edge has been rolled. I think you'll love it. I run one on a heavy bass boat and it's the fastest prop I've ran so far.

So far I've found a Mercury ET 26 and the SRX 27, the STX being a couple hundred dollars less. Is the ET worth the extra money?

It must be because they are consistently more expensive!

I would research et's before making a purchase. Early et's were modified from choppers at Merc. Later ones start out as their own casting. I think the early ones are prone to crack from welding and toss blades.

Most prop shops do their own et cut as well, some welded, some not. Some say they change pitch when they do the cut, some say they don't.

I'm definitely not an et cut expert, so I would do some research and find out exactly what you're getting before shelling out $$$.

27 SRX is a safe bet and for the $$$ you won't be sorry, I promise!

. Are you the standard Mercury prop nut and washer with the SRX? The Trophy prop I have have the locking ring to keep the nut on, on the SRX do you just use the lock nut since there is no way to use the lock ring? Sorry for the dumb question but I've never used a prop with this kind of hub. Thanks

You should be able to get the thrust washer and lock nut from any decent merc dealer. My SRX has had the hub machined thinner so it uses a unique setup...

It's a special thrush washer and the lock nut has to be much thinner than the the Mercury nut so that it'll be able to have enough locking material on the shaft. Your putting an omc prop on a Mercury.

Could I use my Mercury thrust washer and just cut down a Mercury lock nut to make it thinner?

The one for the Srx is stepped so that it will go inside prop to support hub. Don't think the Mercury one is stepped to go inside prop to support the bottom side of the hub

They both are stepped but the Srx is much deeper than the Mercury. The one on left is Mercury and one on right is for the Srx. The Mercury one will not give support to the hub and will cause damage to it. Need to call DAH and get the correct one from him, he'll know exactly what you need.

This is what it'll look like with correct thrush washer and nut.

Thanks for the info, I would have just put it on and run it. Probably would have torn something up without your help
