I've been doing some research myself for my Valero. Some folks recommend HydroStream out of Canada. If you search google for "flange-style" rub rail, several results come up. Some screw into place then are covered by a vinyl piece and some snap on. TACO marine makes one I'm considering. There's also a guy over on hydrostream.org that had a quantity of some that appeared very close to stock, but his posts are several years old. Do a search over there- he posted his contact info. Good luck.

You won't find any.The dies were owned at one time by John Spathe I believe,he told me they were stored at the extrusion plant that he bought the rail from. There was a long stretch when he did not order any rail, and the plant threw the dies away.He now uses a vinal snap on style like this.I used it on mine and am happy with it.Note,Make sure the type you get has aluminum core! Not steel.Click image for larger version.

What size did you use? So far I've ordered two different sizes , one said 4.5 mm and the other was 1/4" . The 1/4" one is too small in a few areas

Where did you order it from? How did you secure it on the ends where it meets the transom?

I also need to get some. I found the Taco Universal Flex Trim but it's in 25 foot length so you can't do a boat with one piece. Any ideas where to get a longer piece? https://www.jamestowndistributors.co...sal+Flex+Trim#

I tried several different sizes and the 5/16" from McMaster Carr fit perfect. I put a bead of 3M 5200 adhesive on it to make sure it didn't get pulled off.

Have you had a look at some of the new boats on the yards to see what they use ! they still have the same problems now that others had long time ago !!
Try also a company that manufactures and extrudes lengths of plastic mouldings and beadings !((yellow pages ) I found one such place a while back and they had just what I wanted in stock left over from another job !even the coloured infill in bright red just what I needed .
Messing round with boats is fun !! the learning never stops ,even after more than 30 years there's always something new happening somewhere ! BUT somethings never change and some problems never go away and just keep reoccurring !!so moved into Composite Forensics , Now that something completely new !!

In Korea we used VETUS in the small high speed fishing boat they were building ! they had a big selection of shapes sizes and colour combinations

Alright for a hydrostream with the stock aluminum rail. The 5/8th id from taco marine fits great. Without the rub rail m master carr sells a vinyl rubrail similar to the taco marine and its made for 1/4 to 1/2 and it fits about the best ive found. If you redo your deck and make it thicker it might not work and you might need bigger sizes. Hope this helps!
