1990 Voyager floor and transom
Would a Hydrostream Voyager from 1990 need to have it's floor, core, and transom re-done, or did the factory make the necessary corrections by that time.

It is a 27 year old mass produced boat. I'd bet on it needing everything.

I don't own the boat but am considering the purchase, based on the above question. I believe I have heard the answer. Don't trust a 27 year old boat to be fine; assume the worst unless proven otherwise. The boat in question looks to be generally neglected in all observable places. I guess I'd be a fool to expect the floor and transom to be different and great.
Thanks folks for popping my balloon and saving my money.Swivomatically,

If you want the boat, just renegotiate the price by having an estimate and the work done by a pro. Either that or buy one someone rebuilt and did a good job on. (would have to have documentation) It may be in decent shape, only way to find out is by a little investigative work.
