T17 by RPM and Screaming Eagle Boats

A little preview of the the Rider Performance Marine T17. I have contracted Todd Lamb/Screaming Eagle boats to layup the first hull. VE, Coosa transom/bulkheads, foam core. Seating will be Euro-like 4 buckets with small sun pad.

    Thats really cool.
So in order to make a mold, someone had to make a plywood boat first to make a mold off of correct?
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

Yes, but I am sure the plug is long gone, I acquired the mold a few years back and finally decided to have one built and test it.

It`s been a while since anyone has came out with an all new sub 20ft tunnel. I can`t wait to see the final product.

The deck looks very similar to a 21 Talon the way it comes up the front.

I can say it did not come from a Talon, Skater, STV, Mirage, etc. design at all. This was an all new design like no other. By contract I can not tell you what it's foundation was originally, but there are none out there and with the upgrades that have been performed it is like no other boat out there for sure. One thing I will say is Jeb is not short cutting anything on this project, he has asked for the best materials to be used. I love seeing guys trying to continue the smaller boat market and put out a variety of options for all of us. This hull here will be a great hull to try and bring the youth into the hi performance boating world and give others something different that what is out there now. Price point will be the ticket and I think everyone will like the target price, but I will let Jeb announce that when he his ready.

There are sketches, but we are not releasing them yet. We will be releasing pictures of the finished product in less than 3 weeks.

Any idea of rigged hull weight ready for a motor?

what horsepower are you thinking it will handle?

i have a 2.4 200 laser efi motor project I'm slowely doing I think this might be the type of boat I would want to hang on it.

    15 or 20" transom ??

The first one will be around 600 lbs bare hull. After testing it, we will come up with a standard hull weight number. The plan is to put a 300xs on it and see how it does. I believe the market Jeb is looking mostly at will be the 150-200 hp range, but we want to know what is the max it can handle. The transom will be custom made to order for a 15" or 20" mid.

That sounds perfect thanks, I'll keep watching this to see how it unfolds. Any plans for a rear bench option instead of two buckets?

This also sounds like it would be perfect for a 200Ros as well.

There will be some sort of a seat in the back, probably just for two.
