Black is slimming? In the book Ironfist, it's said that's why Merc went from white to black.

Its gonna take more then color to make that motor look proportioned on that boat. They are just monsters when you are used to alien cowls.

Boat is beautiful, maybe a small flair on the back would blend the motor in a little. As always a 15" would look killer

Well I drove 3 hours in the rain today to have Wayne at Wayne's Marine program the new 400. Because it's fly by wire, it has to be set up on his laptop. Here's a few pics along with me draining all the water out of the boat when I got home.

    Rob,

I don't know if its heavier but you know its gonna build more twist pressure. Especially with how high Randy will run it along with a CNC 5 blade wheel never letting loose.

    Not that it matters but A relic 25" v8 is 555lbs 20" probably 545.

Dry 400r is 668lbs plus 2 gallons of oil your at ~683lbs plus a 40-50lb power steering pump and you have ~730ish on or near the transom. So your closer to 200lbs all said and done. Hp per lb is very close technology is NOT!

Weight didn't break that plate my guess something losened up and hammered it for a few years then it fell of.
