Difference between LHR and RHR?

Whats up Guys, hope everyone is having a good Monday!

I have searched and searched for threads or pictures (aside of the parts catalog) to try to figure out exactly the difference between an LHR ad an RHR lower unit. I'm still new to the 2.5L and I want to replace the water pump on it but cannot find out exactly which model mine (1991 2.5L 245 carb) is to order the correct parts. If you guys could tell me the differences I would be much abliged!! Thanks!

P.S. does anyone know where I could get a complete water pump kit for my 2.5L ??? 😬😬😬

Left hand rotation and right hand rotation

96148t8 Mercury part number. Rotation does not matter. Any mercury dealer or even West Marine.

stand behind the outboard look at the prop and
see if it would go round to the right to go forward or round to the left to go forward.

That's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure because any parts catalog or anything I have seen still had the prop the same in the pictures and what not. Thanks guys!

The end of the propshaft will have an "L" stamped into the end of it, if it is a left-hand rotation gearcase.

Sometimes if you look close enough. You will see a listing for left hand and one for right hand. But they will be the same part number.
